Yoga During the Pregnancy

During pregnancy and during childbirth, instead of relying solely on willpower to maintain control of the body, it is helpful to use yoga to listen at the requirements of the body. Relaxation, deep breathing and meditation is an effective way to face hardships and negative emotions, creating at the same time a sense of well-being that extends to the child and to all the people who are closely related. With relaxation and meditation it is possible to send consciously prana (vital energy) to the growing child in the womb. The positive effects of yoga continue also after birth: this healthy habit helps to remain fit and overcome the state of stress and fatigue that occurs after delivery.
Introduction to the Course Yoga is a long lasting help. It is a global science, suitable and can be adapted to all human conditions. Mind peacefulness, arising from yoga practice, physical vitality and flexibility are key characteristics for each human being and, specifically, in this life condition of maternity! Pregnancy months are precious, a period of great change not only at the physical level, but also at the emotional, mental and spiritual level. Yoga helps to face this amazing time in all its aspects with the right exercises, conscious breathing, relaxation and meditation. During pregnancy, it is important to tone pelvic muscles, so the uterus and the other organs can work better; physical changes, occurring in this time, can cause diseases and neuralgia. With deep breathing, combined with specific exercises, tissues flexibility increases together with body and changes awareness. During pregnancy and delivery, instead of relying just on willpower to keep body control, it is helpful to use yoga to perceive all body requirements. Relaxation, deep breathing and meditation are an effective way to face hardships and negative emotions, while creating, at the same time, a sense of well-being that extends to the child, to the partner and to all the people who are closely related. Course Objectives: To help women living a conscious pregnancy, before and after delivery, and to teach operators of good will to develop their body-mind- spirit awareness and spread it through teaching.
